Mary Kay Cream Eyeshadow Color Iced Cocoa

Today I will be doing a review on the Mary Kay cream eye color. I won this from the Project Runway Sweepstakes. When I saw the package in my mailbox this morning I was surprised because I did not remember entering this sweepstakes. Then I saw this card and remembered that I entered a Mary Kay sweepstakes a few weeks ago. It must have slipped my mind since I was so busy with school.

This is the first thing I've ever won so I was very excited. I didn't think I would actually get picked but entered anyways because it only took like 2 mins to fill out the form. They also didn't specify what the prize would be so I was like "Oh well, worth a try". The cream eyeshadow came with a brush as well.

I love the packaging on these because it looks so sleek and expensive. The eyeshadow color I got was Iced Cocoa.

This color looks gold in the container but swatches to a brown - bronze-y color that looks gold in the light.

As you can see, I swatched this on the back of my hand. When I went to rub it off since that is what I usually do to remove the product. I was surprised that it wouldn't budge at all. It didn't smudge or smear so I would assume that this would make a good long lasting eyeshadow base. When you rub it, some of the shimmer comes off but the color stays.

The texture of it is very creamy and smooth. You can build up the color if you want to but it does set pretty quick.

Next is the brush. It looks like any other paddle eyeshadow brush but I haven't tried it yet to give a full review of it.

Etude House Bright Fit, BRTC Jasmine Water, and Holika Holika Petit Moisture BB Creams Review

Hi guys, today I'll be doing a review on three bb creams. Etude House Precious Mineral Bright Fit in W13, BRTC Jasmine Water, and Holika Holika Moisture Petit Bb Cream.

For color comparison , I am NC 15-20 for MAC. I will have photos comparing all three shades at the bottom.

Etude House Precious Minerals Bright Fit in W13:

This line has four shades you can pick from N02, W13, W24, and W15. As you can see I picked the second lightest shade.

As you can see this product comes in a pump form which gives you more control on how much product you want to dispense. 

I liked that this bb cream has light to medium coverage but it felt like it was obvious that I had makeup on. It also looked matte on my face. I know it's suppose to have a dewy finish but my face looked very flat after using it. However I mixed some of the etude house nymph aura in translucent ( I got as a sample ) with it and it made my face look more dewy and refreshed looking. 

This product contains 60g of product (2fl oz) which is pretty affordable for the price. I got it for 12.19 from ebay from the seller rinishop. Very fast shipping. 

I liked that this had SPF 30 / PA ++ which is perfect for everyday use. It gives good coverage but you can build it up without it looking too cakey. This line of bb cream also has a wider range of shades compared to other bb creams. This bb cream had more of a yellow/warm undertone.

This also is a triple function bb cream which claims to have uv protection, whitening, and anti-wrinkle.

BRTC Jasmine Water:

Most bb creams claim that they oxidize to match a person's skintone, but frankly I don't really believe that for this bb cream. I used the E.L.F clarifying pressed powder to help darken the color a bit. This bb cream did have a pink undertone so it didn't match my skintone that well. 

I used this one more than the other ones because it was moisturizing and helps lighten my skin in preparation for the holika one.I did smell a hint of jasmine. It wasn't so strong that it would make me sneeze. 

This also is has triple functions claiming to whiten, anti-wrinkle, and uv block. I've heard that people did see noticeable results of whitening so I was hoping it would lighten my skin enough so thatI don't   need to use a powder for the Holika bb cream.

Holika Holika Moisture Petit:

I liked this one the most becaue it gave me a bright and dewy finish without looking like i used alot of of makeup. This is also very moisturizing but the downside was that it was too light for me.

I was actually surprised at good the coverage was. This formula is pretty thin which is why it feels so natural so it being able to cover my redness was pretty incredible.

The color actually looks like this when you squeeze it out but once you start blending it turns into a lighter color.

There's 5 types of bb cream in this line and I'm looking forward to trying watery and clearing.

You can see that the Etude House Bright fit is the darkest out if the three. It oxidized darker on my arm since its significantly lighter than my face but the color for Etude House would fit me the best.

Skin79 Super Plus Bb Cream Pink, Gold, and Orange Swatches

Hey guys, today I'll be swatching the skin79 bb creams. Most Bb creams have several skin benefits, which is why they are so popular in Korea. I have three different bb creams from skin79.

I got sample packets to see which one would be best for my skin type. Personally I like the gold one the most because pink is too cool/pink toned and orange is wayyy too light for me. 

In this photo, the bb creams look super dark because the inside of my arm is very pale. 

However in this photo with flash on. You can clearly see how Skin79 Pink has a grayer and pinker undertone. Skin79 Gold is warmer and a closer match to my skintone. Skin79 Orange is more on the neutral side but it is super light almost borderline white.

Mini ELF Haul and Swatches

So I recently made a small order on eyeslipface.com because they had free shipping (6.95). This is post will show you everything I got, first impressions, and some swatches 

As you can see, some of the stuff are not in their original packages because I was too excited to wait until I got home.

So the first thing I opened was the HD blush in Headliner. I've heard good reviews for this product due to the great pigmentation. However when I opened mine up, there was some kind of oil all over the pumper thing. You can also see a line where the blush is dried out.

I a bottle of nail polish next to it for size comparison because the product looks so much bigger online. 

When I tried to get the product it, it came out very liquid-y and watery 

It is indeed very pigmented but something I noticed right away was the smell. It's pretty awful. I haven't tried this product on my face yet but from the liquid-y texture and disgusting smell. I won't be repurchasing this any time soon.

The next product I was

 excited for was the Conditioning Lip Balm SPF in Romantic Rouge and Nice & Natural.

The first thing I thought when I saw it was that it is very big. 

Here is a picture of it next to the Elf Cream Liner. That was actually the size I thought it would be similar to. The big packaging is pretty unnecessary because you can see that there is a lot of clear space.

Not sure what the point of this is for but of you don't like the packaging you can just take the actual product out and put it in another container.

I really like the texture of these balms on my lips. They aren't heavy but is a bit tacky and is perfect for everyday use. They gave a good amount of tint for a balm but not as pigmented as the product Im gong to show next. One thing i didn't like was the smell. It isn't as bad as the HD Blush, but a smell I still would not prefer. They are also cery hard to open and close, theres like a 60% chance I break my insex finger nail each time i try to open them. Overall I might repurchase these and even try some of the other colors. 

The next product is another balm. This is actually what made me start browsing the ELF site. It is the ELF Essential Lip Balm Tint. I heard it when I was watching one of Emily Noel's videos and decided that I had to try it. So the color I got was grapefruit. I wanted to get Nude as well but from the swatches I saw, it looked really brown.

All I can say is Wow.

That was my first reaction when I swatched it. It has a very smooth jelly-like feel to it. It's also the perfect size for your bag unlike the Studio Conditioning lip balms. I can smell light hints of vanilla but some may say that there is no scent at all. The pigmentation is amazing. I honestly wish I ordered the other three. On my lips it feels smooth and buttery. It also looks like I put jelly on my lips, shiny and crease less. I definitely would repurchase.

The next thing I chose was the Elf Essential Lipstick in Classy. This was actually an impulse buy because its only a dollar and I've heard that its a dupe for MAC Angel. I don't own Angel but I love collecting colors that are dupes for high end products.

Natural Lip Color

Elf Lipstick Classy 

This lipstick is very smooth and easy to apply. It's pretty pigmented but still need a feel swipes to get it opaque. One thing I didn't like was the packaging. The cap was super easy to pull off. Like no effort at all so there's a possibility it may fall off if you put the lipstick in your big. It was also quite hard twisting the lipstick up. It was like squeaking as I twisted it up.

This lipstick color is not very flattering on so I would not repurchase this particular color but I may reconsider if any if the other colors interest me.

The last face product I got was the Studio Maximum Cover Concealer. 

This is how the opening looks. I actually thought that the opening would be smaller. Kind of like the shimmering facial whips. Because the opening is so big, it will be hard to control how much product you want. Sorry no actual swatch because the color I chose might be wrong for my skin tone. The sun also set so my yellow lighting will effect the swatches.

The last things I got was the ELf nail polishes in Green Machine and Desert Haze. Those two will be featured on another post for more swatches. And the ELF Studio Small Stipple Brush. I actually chose it to use with the concealer.

This was a pretty long post. My favorite product out of everything was the Essential Lip Tint and my least favorite was the HD Blush and the Lip Conditioner in Romantic Rouge just because I thought there would be more pigmentation.

Nail Polish of 9/13

This is a very pretty light pastel orange color with slight tones of pink. It's very pretty in the bottle, but I don't really like it on my nails. It makes my nails tanner than it really is. A plus if you want to look tan.
